Aloha! Welcome to the history of Aloha Maiden Cleaning Service, LLC.
What started out in 2002 as a one-woman, one bucket, and
one vacuum cleaning system; April Brobst working out of the
trunk of her 2004 Blue Honda Accord in Medford, Oregon.
Going through some life struggles at that time, she did not
see herself as a business owner. At some point along her
journey, God knew that her heart, passion for serving others,
and giving back to the community and society as a whole
could be reflected through a tangible service.

One day while having lunch with her two friends in a Mexican
restaurant in Medford, the question was asked "April, How
many houses are you cleaning now?" April said, "six, why?"
her friend stated that this is a business and that she should
consider opening her own cleaning business. She thought to
herself, I have no idea about business what do you mean?
Yes! You need to research and look into it. At that very
moment scribbling on a piece of a restaurant napkin, April began asking God and searching for a name. On the napkin, she wrote Aloha Maids, Aloha Cleaning Service, Cleaning with Aloha. Searching for the perfect name she turned to ask of her savior, what should I call "YOUR" cleaning service? and in the Bible she read; handmaiden, maidservants. There it was "For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. LUKE 1:48."
Low and behold there was the birth of Aloha Maiden Cleaning Service. Later to be business structured as:
Aloha Maiden Cleaning Service, LLC. "Cleaning with a Personal Touch of Aloha".
Taking her friends' advice, April researched and looked for help on how to start a business and found help from a local small business development center at the Rogue Community College. This center helps people on how to start a business from the beginning to grow. As she learned about business and continued to grow her clientele, her community grew to three, four, and sometimes five houses a day, five days a week. Her clientele consisting mainly of the elderly, people in their 80's. For the first time, realizing the hardship in caring for people's homes and gaining trust from the people to come into their "greatest investments, their homes" to care for and clean. That she did for 10 years in Medford, Ashland, Jacksonville, Grants Pass, Eagle Point, and Central Point, Oregon. Sometimes in Shady Cove, Oregon too... moving on to greater things.
In 2012, April Brobst a Native Hawaiian, local-born, moved back home to her roots her hometown of Hilo, Hawaii. Famous for it's Snow Capped Mauna Kea Mountain and the Fiery peaks of Kilauea Volcano. There she was encouraged with the help of her daughter Leialoha and a real estate friend Garth (who started her with her first cleaning jobs) to open her cleaning service here in Hilo. As reluctant as she felt, moving into a greater responsibility of hiring a team (which she had yet to learn how to manage) she did it anyway. Again with the help of the SBDC in Hilo along with Judi Mellon-SBDC director and business advisor.
